In the heart of Tartus City, a heartwarming project was set in motion. Earlier this year, something truly special happened that brought warmth and smiles to many young faces. Thanks to a collaborative effort between the Relief and Development Committee of Tartus City at the Syriac Orthodox Church, and the Etuti Institute, a beautiful initiative was born.
As winter approached, a pressing need was identified: many children in the community were in need of warmer shoes to protect their little feet from the cold. In response to this need, a mission was launched to provide these kids with brand-new, cozy footwear for the winter season. The project, aptly named the “Kicks for Kids Campaign,” aimed to bring comfort and joy to 100 deserving children.
This initiative was made possible through the generosity of 35 compassionate donors. Each contribution, no matter how big or small, played a crucial role in ensuring that these children could step into the winter months with warmth and dignity. The success of the campaign was also due to the tireless efforts of volunteers who worked on the ground to make everything run smoothly.
Among those who played pivotal roles in this touching story, a special mention goes to Christina Salem, Merna Kesto, and Badee Khabaz. Their leadership and dedication were instrumental in turning this vision into reality. Their hard work and commitment helped orchestrate a project that not only provided essential winter footwear but also delivered a powerful message of community support and kindness.
In the end, the Kicks for Kids Campaign was more than just a donation of shoes. It was a testament to what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared purpose. The warmth and joy brought to these children through this initiative will be remembered for years to come, reminding us all of the difference that compassion and teamwork can make.
