In 1988, over 300 people from Gonda Kosa narrowly escaped the Anfal campaign’s attacks. Their village was abandoned for three years, with homes in ruins and residents scattered. In 1991, a few courageous villagers returned, living in tents as they rebuilt with humanitarian aid.
Given all they’ve endured, the least we can do is provide a reliable way for their children to attend school. Since their village lacks a school, the repaired bus ensures they can travel for their education. In September, Nineveh Rising traveled to Iraq and learned about the urgent need for a new school bus. After hearing about the issue, everyone on the trip contributed donations to help meet this need. Their combined efforts ensured that a new bus could be provided to support the school's transportation needs.
